WebCam Hvar LIVE (Croatia)

Town Hvar on island Hvar, Croatia. This 24/7 Live webcam is overlooking the entrance to the Hvar port and Pakleni islands in front of it. Camera location is just around the corner from the main waterfront in the east direction(towards the Franciscan monastery).

In the view of the camera:
- Main beach of Kriza bay(closest beach to the port)
- Franciscan monastery
- Sunbathing pier in front of hotel Dalmacija
- Entrance to the Hvar port
- Hula Hula swimming area in the distance
- All of the Pakleni islands
- Iconic Galesnik island in front of Hvar port
- Various boats, luxurious yachts, cruisers, ferries, catamarans...
- Nice weather, clear skies and sun ;-)

Besides the live view you can scroll/swipe 4 hours back in time from current time using the red bar at the bottom. Great if you missed some interesting event.

This camera and live stream are only my amateurish hobby project so please take it as such. I'm using very cheap components put together in DIY fashion but I strive to improve it on every occasion I can. I would LOVE to hear any feedback(positive/negative) from you. FEATURES THAT ARE WORKING:
- 1080 HD (1920x1080pixels) at 25 FPS streaming. Be sure to switch YouTube quality to higher(HD) quality if it is on Auto at the beginning and it seems poor
- 16 preset positions(camera max) through which the camera moves and also super slow left-right movement on occasion and during the night.
- Up to 10x zoom on some positions, which is active in the morning and evening. Zoom is reduced to about 5-6x in the afternoon because of too much shakiness from wind with current camera mount.
- Ability to see up to 4 hours back in time

THINGS THAT NEED FIXING:
- Camera shakiness from wind in the afternoon time. Camera needs a new custom built mount.
- Fuzziness in the upper image part. This is an overheating issue on very hot days and when there is strong sun reflection from sea surface. Also manifested in the afternoon time. I'm considering doing a hardware mod on the camera to improve cooling.
- Horizon not completely level. Will be solved with the new mount. The current one simply can not be regulated completely to correct for that.
- NO SOUND. Some of you have made a remark that there is no sound. This is a bit tricky. The camera itself does not have a microphone. I could connect one separately on the computer that is processing and uploading this stream to YouTube. However there is a big issue with privacy since the microphone would be located in close proximity to several balconies and there would be privacy complaints.
- Unattractive night video. Unfortunately the camera is not super sensitive for night recording and the image is mostly black. I will experiment with different preset movements to maybe create a more interesting night video.
